The Intervenor is the student publication of Colegio de San Gabriel Arcangel. Comments are a place to talk about what we publish — to agree, to disagree, to add what we missed. These rules keep it a place people want to read.
Be fair to people
- Argue with ideas, not with the people who hold them. No insults, name-calling or mockery of anyone's looks, family, faith, background or beliefs.
- No harassment, threats or bullying — of writers, other readers, or the people in our stories.
- No hate speech, and nothing that demeans people for who they are.
Respect privacy
- Do not post anybody's personal information: phone numbers, addresses, accounts, photographs, grades or anything about their health.
- Do not claim to be someone you are not.
Keep it honest and on topic
- Stay on the story you are commenting on.
- Do not knowingly post false information, and do not present a rumour as a fact.
- No spam, advertising, chain messages or links that try to sell something.
Keep it clean
- No obscene or sexual content, and no profanity — in English, Filipino or any other language. Some words hold a comment back until an editor has read it.
What happens if you break them
Editors may hide a comment, and may suspend an account that keeps breaking these rules. Comments that threaten or harass someone may be passed to the school. You can report any comment that you think breaks them; an editor will look at it.
What you post here is your own, and appears under your name. The publication keeps a record of it, as the privacy notice explains.
How what you post is kept, and your rights over it, are in the privacy notice.
